EV comparison Switzerland: Model Y, Elroq or Enyaq?
Tesla Model Y, Škoda Elroq and Škoda Enyaq are the three most registered electric cars in Switzerland. This comparison sets distribution, price, battery, range, charging and warranty side by side, as far as we can document them. The Swiss price of the Model Y is missing, and the text says so where it is missing.
How widespread the three are
Over the period Jan–Sep 2026, 4’044 Model Y were registered (rank 1 among electric cars), 2’539 Elroq (rank 2) and 2’494 Enyaq (rank 3). Elroq and Enyaq are close together, the Model Y clearly ahead. Only the pure electric versions are counted.
Price and range
For Elroq and Enyaq we have the importer’s list prices, read from the price lists on 10 and 15 October 2026. The calculation is the one from the article Electric car price and range: list price including VAT, divided by the lower WLTP range.
| Model and version | List price | Battery net | Range WLTP | CHF per km |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Škoda Elroq, Essential 60 | CHF 37’300 | 58 kWh | 444–451 km | 84 |
| Škoda Elroq, Selection 85 | CHF 43’150 | 77 kWh | 524–575 km | 82 |
| Škoda Enyaq, Selection 85 | CHF 52’250 | 77 kWh | 544 km | 96 |
| Tesla Model Y, rear-wheel drive | not collected | 60 kWh | 525 km | – |
The Elroq with the large battery costs CHF 5’850 more than the Essential 60 and adds at least 80 kilometres. Per kilometre the figure falls from 84 to 82. The Enyaq carries the same 77 kWh net battery as the Elroq 85, but costs CHF 9’100 more and comes to 96 francs per kilometre.
For the Enyaq, the importer names a final price of CHF 47’000 on the Dynamic 85 special edition, valid for contracts until 31 December 2026. We keep it separate and it does not enter the figure. We know no Swiss price for the Model Y: tesla.com blocks access from our side, and the configurator is protected by a CAPTCHA. The ranking in francs per kilometre therefore covers two of the three models.
Charging, towing, winter and warranty
- Charging power. The Model Y charges at up to 175 kW, the Enyaq at 135 kW. For the Elroq we have no documented value.
- Towing capacity. Braked 1’600 kg for the Model Y, 1’000 kg for the Enyaq. For the Elroq we have no documented value.
- Winter. For the Model Y, the ÖAMTC measured 302 kilometres at 6 °C in Austria. For Elroq and Enyaq we have no winter measurement.
- Battery warranty. Škoda gives 8 years or 160’000 km and guarantees at least 70 percent of net capacity. For the Model Y, Tesla names 8 years or 160’000 km on its product page; the guaranteed remaining capacity we have not documented. What the figures mean is in the article Battery warranty.
What this means for your choice
- If the price per kilometre counts, the Elroq 85 is ahead. It comes to 82 francs, the Essential 60 to 84, the Enyaq to 96. The Model Y is not in this calculation.
- If you tow a trailer, the Model Y has the higher documented value at 1’600 kg. For the Elroq, ask the importer.
- If you often charge on the road, the Model Y has the higher peak power. What a kilowatt hour costs on the road is shown in the article Fast charging in Switzerland.
- Then work out the total cost. The calculator My EV adds electricity, tax and depreciation.
What we do not know
- The price of the Model Y. Tesla’s configurator cannot be read by us.
- Charging power and towing capacity of the Elroq. We have not collected either.
- The winter range of the Škoda models. We have no dated measurement for it.
- The price at the dealer. The list price is not binding; the offer is.
The models up to CHF 30’000 are on Cheap electric cars, the most registered models on Models, more comparisons under Comparison.
