Buying signal
MODERATELY COMMON
Enough vehicles for a viable garage network, but no broad used-car market.
The signal is a calculation rule, not an editorial opinion, and it takes no account of driving characteristics, equipment or price. It knows two quantities: the market share of all new registrations with a charging port in the period, and the change against the same period of the previous year. Without a previous-year figure a model is «new to the market». From 0,5 per cent share it counts as common — growing above 10 per cent, declining beyond 10 per cent, steady otherwise. Below that, growth above 25 per cent counts as «small but growing fast»; under 0,1 per cent share a model is «rare», in between «moderately common». The same rule applies in the model radar. wattradar makes no purchase recommendation.

Negative monthly figure. A minus sign is a correcting entry: auto-schweiz revises previously reported registrations after the fact. The statistics do not say why — a cancellation and a rebooking onto a different model name look identical in them. The annual figure is the corrected one.
