NEW TO THE MARKET
No used-car market, no reliable residual value, no long-term experience.
The signal is a calculation rule, not an editorial opinion, and it takes no account of driving characteristics, equipment or price. Without a previous-year figure a model is «new to the market». From 0,5 per cent share it counts as common — growing above 10 per cent, declining beyond 10 per cent, steady otherwise. Below that, growth above 25 per cent counts as «small but growing fast»; under 0,1 per cent share a model is «rare», in between «moderately common».
