Jaberg: charging stations and electric cars
Electric cars
For Jaberg, the FSO counts 9 electric cars and 7 plug-in hybrids among 168 passenger cars (as of 2025). That is 5,4 % electric cars, against a Swiss average of 5,2 %. A year earlier there were 8.
Public charging points
For Jaberg, no public charging point is reported to the SFOE (as of 26.10.2026). The nearest is 1,6 km away in a straight line, in Kiesen. The nearest fast charger with more than 42 kW is 2,8 km away in a straight line, in Wichtrach.
Charging at home
Charging at home for Jaberg costs 25,39 Rp./kWh energy price at the local grid operator plus a basic charge of CHF 96 a year (tariff 2026). For 100 km that is about CHF 4.91 plus VAT, calculated with 18 kWh consumption and 6,9 % charging loss at the wallbox. For 2027, 23,23 Rp./kWh has been reported. At public charging points the operator’s price applies, not the grid operator’s tariff. The “Charging” tab shows what operators report.

Where the figures come from
- Electric cars: FSO, road vehicle stock by municipality, as of 2025, and new registrations 2025. Counted by the keeper’s address, so company cars are included. We do not show figures under 5.
- Charging points: SFOE, charging stations for electric cars (ich-tanke-strom.ch), daily export of 26.10.2026. The municipality follows from the coordinate and swisstopo’s municipal boundaries (swissBOUNDARIES3D).
- Occupancy: our own measurement from the SFOE status reports, every 3 minutes, week 19.–25.10.2026. The figures are openly available at /ladenetz-gemeinden.json.
- Electricity tariff: ElCom, tariffs reported by the distribution system operators, standard product, profile H5 (7’500 kWh a year, house with an electric car), excluding VAT.
What the figures do not say
- Private chargers in garages and at houses are not recorded centrally anywhere and are missing here. Most electric cars charge there.
- No reported charging point does not mean there is none: an operator who does not report its charger to the SFOE is missing from the file.
- Charging sessions are a lower bound. We count the change from free to occupied between two readings; a session shorter than three minutes is missed.
- Occupancy counts how often a charging point was reported as occupied. A car that stays parked after charging counts as occupied.
